Lactobionic acid is the latest skin care technology to emerge from NeoStrata company. This new poly hydroxyl 'bionic' acid is a non-irritating, complex PHA which is derived from naturally occurring lactose (milk sugar) and gluconic acid. Lactobionic acid is a potent antioxidant with humectant properties that strongly attract and bind water, producing a natural gel matrix. Its unique film forming property provides softness and a velvety smoothness to the skin. Lactobionic acid formulations reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
